一. 教材简析
1. 教材的地位和作用
在第一单元中,阅读承载着整个单元中最重要的语言和文化信息。本篇文章主要描述一个地方。学生们在基础模块上册Unit 1 Reading--- Welcome to Our School 中已经简单学习了这类文章,在下册中,The Great Wall 是唯一一篇描述地方的文章。在拓展模块一册的写作中再次出现了此类话题的练习。跟基础模块上册相比较,本课在描述上更具体,内容更丰富,在学习难度上有明显的提升。从全套教材的分析来看,本课起着承前启后的重要作用
本篇文章主要讲解了长城的建造、发展的历史,长城上烽火台的作用以及长城的历史社会地位。为下面要讲的听力和口语起了很好的铺垫作用。长城是我们中国人的骄傲,它一定能激发学生的爱国热情和民族自豪感。
2. 学情分析
职中学生英语基础较差,水平不等,因此在教学中要由浅入难,讲解练习的设置上以简单为主,让学生们都有所收获,以便增强他们学习英语的自信心。学生们都知道长城,但是对长城的一些细节及发展史了解比较肤浅,这就要求老师为学生营造一种轻松愉快地学习氛围,使学生对长城有较详细的了解。
3. 教学目的
根据教学大纲的要求以及授课对象确定教学目标和重点难点如下:
1) 知识目标
a. 了解长城的发展史,历史地位,作用。
b. Be located; take sb some time to do sth; protect…from / against; by hand
have sth done; link up
2) 能力目标
a. 培养学生们良好的阅读习惯,提高阅读水平。
b. 提高学生们的口语表达能力。
3)情感目标
增强学生们的爱国心和民族自豪感。
3. 教学的重点和难点
1)重点 了解长城的基本内容,掌握知识目标中的语法点。
2) 难点 运用所学知识对名胜古迹图片做简单的英语口语表达。
二.说教学方法
这节课我主要采用了“任务驱动法” 、“情境教学法” 的方法授课。
首先,任务驱动法可以让学生带着真实的任务去学习,明确学习目标,并且能够让学生体验成功的乐趣,促使学生从“要我学”到“我要学”的转变。
其次,“情境教学法”我使用多媒体教学,利用图片,创设一种学习情境,激发学生的学习兴趣,启发学生进行讨论,而且在实际过程中进行引导,激发学生的交流欲望,已完成交流训练,提高学生用英语表达思想的能力。
三.说学法
自主学习和分组讨论相结合的方法,通过Group work让学生都得到一次口语的训练。

具体教学步骤如下
Step 1 Revision The teacher shows some pictures to the students. Then let the students spell out the names of the places in English. | 教师给学生们展示一些图片,要求学生用英语拼读。以达到对上节课所学本单元单词进行检测和复习,以便更快,更好的进入本课学习中。 |
Step 2 Lead—in The teacher shows a picture to the students, acting a guide. The teacher tells the students some information about the Great Wall. Then the teacher asks the students a question about the great wall. The question is “How many people were made to build the Great Wall?” ( students can’t answer this question.) Now, let’s travel to the Great Wall together. | 教师以“导游”的身份带领学生们去观看图片中的长城,并对长城进行简单介绍。教师提出问题,引导学生去学习课文,找出问题的答案。 在这部分,学生们对祖国的长城有更直观的了解,增强学生们的爱国心和民族自豪感,使学生有一种要积极投入祖国建设的情感愿望,学生也会对要学的课程产生浓厚的兴趣,为讲新课做好准备。

How many people were made to build the Great Wall? About 1 million people were made to build the Wall. 4. What is the total length of the Great Wall? It is more than 6,500 kilometers long. 5.When was the Great Wall which we can see now rebuilt? It was rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty.

六.教学反思
1. 本课教学结构合理,使学生在阅读,口语,语法,写作方面都得到了练习和提升。
2. 本课在突破难点上,注重学生的主体作用的发挥。通过独学,组学,展示等环节,培养学生的学习能力及团队合作精神。
3. 在加强重点上,通过汉译英,英译汉,学生仿写,当堂练习使学生掌握知识点,并能灵活运用。
4. 在讲解课文中注重学生反映,在学生不能理解老师所说的英语时,给出学生汉语解释,使所有学生都能参与到课堂中。
